Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021 as the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the growth and advent of tourism to space. Kristin's parents are both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since employed as an White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the both the Biden and Trump administrations in space matters. She also covered the 2020 presidential race and the efforts of two administrations to combat the coronavirus. Kristin was on the road frequently, and both with the vice president and president. She even went on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before becoming a part of the network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin, who is adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentaries, for companies such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a Bachelor in Science in Journalism that she received from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
